Minack Theatre, Porthcurno

One of the great sights of Cornwall, indeed, an extraordinary phenomenon; an Open Air Theatre cut out of the cliff side affording stupendous views. Season of plays, musicals, operas in unique 750 seat theatre. Coffee shop. Season; End of May to mid-Sept. Exhibition Centre tells the story of Rowena Cade who built the theatre. Take a rug, hot thermos, spare jumpers and head gear. Open all year Spring/summer 9.30-5, winter 10-4 (closed 24/25 Dec).

Newlyn Filmhouse, The Coombe

This is a fabulous little cinema with 2-screens converted from an old fish cellar and smokery. Matinees. Cafe/bar serve seriously good food.
