Fowey Hall Hotel, Restaurant & Spa
This is a luxurious hotel designed for families with an entourage (Nannies and Au Pairs). Set in a quite superb hilltop location overlooking Fowey. It’s thus child-friendly and has masses of things to do (and suggestions) on offer. It could be described as an expensive nursery. I loved the children’s bright paintings adorning the walls. Dogs (teddies, rabbits, ponies?) (and mothers-in-law) welcome, too. In the off-season their lunches are great value.

The Scarlet, Mawgan Porth
Eco, green, sustainable living...and pure hedonism. This is what separates this multi-million pound investment from its peers. It is an expensive place to play and relax…Let’s hope their fine example will translate into affordable, more plentiful options. Better try it anyway before your kids take the first option. Adults only.
