Ann is a maker of contemporary objects working with materials of sharp contrast, fine porcelain, peaty black stoneware. Forms are thrown, cut, torn and riveted touched with gold leaf and vermillion. Her work is informed by uncompromising attention to detail and craftsmanship, influenced equally by the quiet, still, Japanese aesthetic and a deep engagement with the Australian landscape.
