              MAP-GUIDES

The simple purpose of these publications is to present the “Very Best of the Best” of Cornwall, The Cotswolds and the Lake District in an accessible, easy-to-read, and easy-to-follow, format.  Goldeneye has been publishing a range of Map-Guides for 25+ years, and this design has survived the test of time.  In an increasingly digital world where information is available at the touch of a button (see our On-Line Guides): on a mobile phone, or an ipad. There is still a market for an expansive paper map that allows you to see where you have come from, and are going to, and to get a better perspective on the areas you are visiting.  The “Very Best” attractions are listed under their respective categories; country parks, historic buildings, gardens, museums etc., (plus  in the Cotswolds edition dining pubs and cafes/tearooms)..and are chosen on merit alone, for I receive no payment for listing them. I  believe all this makes for great adventures and good times...!   So Enjoy the Simplicity of Good Design

This was the first publication I produced.   A Map-Guide close to my heart, and one that, I believe, just improves with age. It was the acorn that set off my oak tree, and remains to this day, my favourite publication. It is the simple combination of the map and the guide that makes exploring the Cotswolds such a pleasure.

The Lake District is England's only true mountain area, and is considered by many to be the most beautiful corner of England. It is remarkably compact and varied. The intention of this Map-Guide is not to compete with the thousands of previous publications on the Lake District, but to update, and introduce the visitor to the many features of interest, and beauty, in this area. It is the ideal publication for first-time visitors, or for those seeking to reacquaint themselves with the area.
